We have to help one another. This is the motto that accompanies all efforts to combat coronavirus. Both Spain and Italy are in a very difficult situation, their health cares are collapsing, and doctors and medical professionals are dying. The Czech Republic has therefore decided to donate to both countries 10,000 protective, disposable suits to combat coronavirus.

“We also gave the Spanish 90 respiratory masks which offer the highest possible protection. They were manufactured in Litvínov,“ said Tomáš Petříček, the Minister of Foreign Affairs.

“The situation is very critical in both countries. Any form of help is not only a symbol of solidarity but also an effort to manage the situation together,” added Petříček. In addition to thousands of protective suits, the delivery to Italy also included a sample of masks produced by CTU using 3D printing and 90 respiratory masks manufactured by Nanology. All this could help the local health care to alleviate the current tragic state at least a little.

There have been 12,418 deaths registered in Spain so far.  Over the past 24 hours, the number of new coronavirus cases has increased by 674 people, amounting to a total of 130,759 infected.

Italy remains one of the countries most affected by coronavirus. According to epidemiologists, however, the country is past the peak of the pandemic. The authorities said that there are 124,632 infected in the country. So far, COVID-19 took the lives of 15,362 people in Italy.

In the Czech Republic, the domestic companies and universities are currently involved in the fight against coronavirus. For example, a simple lung ventilator has been produced recently, and there can be hundreds of them made from available components in a short time. There is also a diving mask, which has been modified by adding a P3 filter to protect the wearer from infection and more.

In the fight against coronavirus, thanks go of course to all health-care professionals, doctors, police officers, soldiers, in short, to everyone who is trying to manage this crisis, which is unmatched in the modern history.
