Ukrainian armoured vehicles will be repaired in the Czech Republic
The Ministry of Defence of the Czech Republic, through the AMOS agency, is helping the Ukrainian side to armored vehicles servicing. It will be carried out by Czech defence industry companies in their enterprises in the Czech Republic and Slovakia.
"The Czech Republic was the first partner country that was officially approached by the Ukrainian side with a request for mutual cooperation between Czech and Ukrainian companies in the repair of ground equipment that needs to be put into service or that has been damaged in fighting," said Defence Minister Jana Černochová, adding that this is another example of Czech assistance to Ukraine against the aggression of the Russian Federation.

The first specific contract is for the repair of T-64 tanks, which will be carried out by Czechoslovak Group companies. In the future, the repairs may also be extended to wheeled armoured vehicles of the BRD and BRDM type families, and other companies may also be involved.
"Thanks to the efforts of the Ministry of Defence, in particular Minister Jana Černochová, Deputy Minister Tomáš Kopecny and the AMOS agency, we have managed to significantly expand the assistance provided by the Czech defence industry to the struggling Ukraine. The administration and coordination associated with the project of servicing Ukrainian equipment is very demanding," said Richard Kuběna, Commercial Director of the Land Systems Division of CSG Holding.
Minor malfunctions or battle damage will be repaired by the Ukrainian army and the Ukrainian defence industry on their own. Czech assistance consists in using the capacities of Czech defence industry companies for larger works, including overhauls and commissioning of long-stored equipment.
