According to the agreement concluded by the Ministry of Defence with the Czech company Argun, the soldiers will receive a total of approximately 31,000 helmets by the beginning of November 2020 at the latest. Argun was the second company contacted in a tender announced by the Ministry of Defence in 2017.
“We fulfil our promises. We support the Czech industry. The supply of helmets is one of our rapid impact projects, which is to equip our soldiers with the necessary ballistics," said the Chief of the General Staff of the Army of the Czech Republic, Army General Aleš Opata about the helmet delivery.

"We are glad that in the end it was us who was approached in the tender. We promised to deliver the helmets and we succeeded in due time. Now we just wish that they will serve the Army of the Czech Republic well and that the soldiers will be satisfied with them. We are a Czech company, we have our own production capacity. Only the basic material for production is supplied by the Dupont company," said Stanislav Petr, the owner of the Argun company.
Further deliveries of approximately 20,000 helmets are planned in two more terms, with delivery to the Centrum zabezpečení materiálem týlových služeb (Security centre with rear services material). Ballistics with equipment will be inspected in the centre, registered and then handed over to military units for use. The first soldiers to receive new helmets will be from the 4th Rapid Deployment Brigade and the 7th Mechanized Brigade. All helmets should be distributed to units by the end of this year.
