IDET, PYROS and ISET 2021 are postponed to October
The IDET International Defence and Security Technologies Fair will be held on an irregular date of 20–22 October 2021. The move has been decided by the management of BVV Trade Fairs Brno, in agreement with the Ministry of Defence of the Czech Republic and the Defence and Security Industry Association of the Czech Republic. The reason is the ongoing uncertainty in the development of the covid-19 pandemic in the first half of this year. The new dates do not collide with any similar sectoral event in the Czech Republic or abroad.

The concurrently held PYROS International Fire Fighting Equipment and Services Fair and ISET International Security Technology and Services Fair are also postponed to the above date. In the years going forward, the security fairs will return to their regular dates in May–June in odd-numbered years in coordination with similar expos abroad.
"In terms of the development of the epidemic situation and the restrictions on travel, we assessed the June dates as still relatively risky, taking into account the importance and international nature of the event. I believe that this is the last change in dates. We assume that in the second half of 2021 the situation will be so normal that it will be possible to hold a full-feature fair on a traditional scale and without significant restrictive measures, including standard international participation of exhibitors and foreign delegations, which we are preparing in cooperation with the Ministry of Defence," stated Jiří Kuliš, CEO of Trade Fairs Brno.

"We have decided by now to change the dates in order to enable exhibitors to plan their participation better and with more certainty. We are pleased with the current high interest in participating in the fair. IDET allows the linking of the Czech and foreign defence industries and is therefore an ideal place for the development of trade relations and the establishment of industrial cooperation," added Michalis Busios, Director of the IDET, PYROS and ISET fairs.
IDET is a major exhibition of defence and security technologies in Central Europe with strong foreign participation of exhibitors and trade visitors. It is an important platform for the development of international cooperation. The fair is traditionally attended by representatives of NATO and the European Defence Agency, as well as members of official foreign delegations. IDET is a key presentation of the Czech defence and security industry under the responsibility of the government and other involved institutions of the Czech Republic.
